Dive Buddy Dive Booking Policy
Dive Buddy connects users with dive centres for bookings, acting solely as an intermediary. When booking a dive through Dive Buddy, the contract is formed exclusively between the user and the dive centre. Dive Buddy is not a party to this contract and is not liable for the dive itself. Payments are managed by our payment provider, Stripe, and the following payment and cancellation terms apply:
1. Booking Process
-
Search & Select: Users can browse dive centres and upcoming dives using the Dive Buddy app. Listings may include location, dive types, pricing, availability, and any special requirements.
-
Booking Request: Once a dive is selected, users submit a booking request through the app. This request is sent directly to the dive centre.
-
Confirmation: The dive centre will review the request and confirm availability. Users will receive a confirmation notification once the booking is accepted.
-
Payment: Payment is made securely through the Dive Buddy platform, in accordance with the dive centre’s specified pricing and terms.
-
Communication: Users can contact the dive centre directly via the app for any pre-dive questions or requirements.
2. Dive Centre Responsibility
-
Dive centres are solely responsible for:
-
Providing accurate listing information.
-
Communicating booking terms, requirements, and cancellation policies.
-
Conducting the dive activity in a safe, professional, and timely manner.
-
Managing rescheduling, cancellations, or refunds according to their own policies.
-
Dive Buddy does not control or influence how dives are conducted and is not liable for any changes, issues, or disputes that arise between the user and the dive centre.
3. Cancellation & Refunds
-
Dive Centre Policies Apply: Each dive centre sets its own cancellation and refund policy. Users must confirm the applicable cancellation terms directly with the dive centre prior to making payment.
-
No Platform Refunds: Dive Buddy does not refund any portion of our commission, as this fee supports the operation and maintenance of the booking platform.
-
Commission Retention: In the event of a cancellation, even if a refund is provided by the dive centre, Dive Buddy’s commission is non-refundable.
4. Booking Fees
-
Free for Users: There are no booking fees or hidden charges payable by users to use the Dive Buddy platform.
-
Commission Model: Dive Buddy earns revenue through commission from the dive centres. This does not affect the price the user pays.
